It’s not rocket science. An overused cliche, but it applies to the paper shredding industry. The end goal is the exact same for any company - to destroy your documents. Local and independent, Shred Ace differentiates itself through courteous and accessible service.
In 2008, Eric Nussbaumer and Matt Murley changed career paths to start Shred Ace Inc. Headquartered in Durham, NC, the company offers secure and efficient on-site shredding of paper and media across North Carolina, Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC.
“We wanted to help the environment and give back to the community,” Eric clarified. “As a local and independent business, we can offer a personal level of service. If you have any questions, Matt and I are always here to discuss them with you.
As a reflection of that approach, Shred Ace provides flexible scheduling and emergency service. Whether a business or home owner, the company makes it easy for you to use their service. Customers choose between recurring, purge or drop off services.
Shred Ace provides free containers, with volumes from 100 to 300 pounds of paper, or executive lock cabinets for any size business. For one-time destructions, the company transfers all material for you. If you are a residential customer, with a small amount of material, Shred Ace encourages you to visit a drop-off center or a local “Shred Day” event.
“We recognize a lot of our customers do not have a high volume of material,” continued Eric. “The price to send a truck is too high, so we’ve partnered locally with Ace Hardwares, UPS stores and other locations to provide drop off services. Any customer with less than 100 pounds, can visit a location to securely destroy your materials.”
AAA certified by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), Shred Ace assures customers’ data will be safely and securely disposed. The mobile-shredders invite customers to watch the on-site destruction of paper or hard drives or compact discs. Upon completion, Shred Ace supplies a signed certificate and recycles 100 percent of the material.
“Our process is random dispersion through cross-cut shredding,” Eric detailed. “There is no shape or size to the material and no two pieces are near each other. We also go through extensive audits, background checks and drug tests of our drivers to maintain our NAID-AAA status.”
Shred Ace takes advantage of mobile technology to operate efficiently across a wide service area. Eric added, “we are constantly connected with our drivers throughout the day. To exchange real-time updates and photos help us with free on-site estimates. We always want to be available to our customers and the mobile devices are an extension of that.”
Just like the industry, it’s not hard to figure out why Shred Ace is successful. The company prides itself on accommodating you, the customer. Save money. Save Trees. Stay Secure. Call Shred Ace.
