Chris Barnhill founded Raleigh Heating and Air in 1992. After working out of his home in Garner with two employees, Barnhill has transformed the company into a staff of over 20 highly trained employees and a modern office complete with its own duct shop. Chris Martin, general manager, explained how Raleigh Heating and Air personalizes service.

“We realize that not every piece of equipment is perfect for a homeowner,” Martin said. “We want to be thinking about the entire experience and give you every opportunity from an equipment standpoint to find what fits for you. We want to bring things to the consumer that is 21st century.”

Raleigh Heating and Air are authorized dealers of several major manufacturers. To bring customers into the 21st century, the company recognizes new efficiencies for how air is distributed in your home. For example, Raleigh Heating and Air offers antimicrobial flex to reduce mold and thermostats to cater to your lifestyle like ECOBEE.

The company also features plumbing services, a plasma cutter for ductwork and an outstanding service division. Raleigh Heating and Air recently added a Geothermal department for customers who want to make an investment in comfort, but green solutions don’t stop there.

“In addition to geothermal, we can also suggest a cost-effective and green air to air solution,” Martin added. “We can use ductless mini splits to drive huge efficiencies. We realize the world is moving towards a more green and energy conscious mentality. We want to make sure we bring those options to the customer.”

The level of service is all about giving the customer peace of mind. Martin described, “you are going through a traumatic experience, your home is uncomfortable. We provide a bio of the technician coming to your house to perform service. We try to schedule a time that is most convenient for you, whether that is after hours or first thing in the morning.”

To stand by their work, Raleigh Heating and Air gives customers the option to join their Comfort Club for preventative maintenance. Similar to how you might maintain your automobile, your heating and cooling equipment needs the same type of attention. By maintaining your system you can add years of life and improve efficiency.

Raleigh Heating and Air adopts emerging technology to be consistent with bringing customers into the 21st century. Always seeking new efficiencies, Barnhill and his staff use GPS tracking on every company truck and mobile devices.

“A tablet or an iPad elevates our level of professionalism and service,” Martin expressed. “We can access independent third-party resources and show videos to the customer. We can quickly educate the customer about Indoor Air Quality or any other service.”

As members of the community, Raleigh Heating and Air recently teamed up with Holt Foundation. Established in 1999, the Holt Foundation provides assistance and helps positively impact families affected by cancer.The company donates $25 to the Holt Foundation for every service repair and $250 for every new system it installs.
